To wrap things up this year we attempted to do a season Wrap-Up Episode. Unlike last year, the conversation quickly devolved from review of the entire Season Three line up and turned more circuitously to reflections on the entire history of the podcast and the trials and tribulations of the hosts as they tried to keep this beast afloat. The discussion is more celebratory and, at times, nonsensical. We brought back two past guests: Mike O’Reilly and John (a/k/a Dole) Doyle to bring in some outside perspective.
Occasionally we did manage to get into the art of literature and film and there were some coherent thoughts that managed to squeak thru. All in all, we hope our jovial spirit puts a nice cap to this podcast and provides some reflective laughter along the way. Apologies for the general absurdity and thank you again for checking us out!

WILK’S SHOW NOTES:
On this month’s episode of NDIOS we had a very special guest, John Doyle (a/k/a “Dole” from the stoner rock group “I Decline”). Dole just came back from fixing a hair metal band’s new album, but don’t worry no guitar solos or monster ballads were harmed.
The book that we discussed was Something Wicked This Way Comes. Ryan used a horrible voice to introduce this book. This twist of his vocal chords was the highpoint of the show for Wilk (me). The majority of the hosts and guests liked the book. The most intelligent and accomplished member of the panel, Dave Wilkinson, did not like the book. However, he did like the author and was eager to participate in the discussion about Bradbury. He was also eager to drink heavily throughout the broadcast.
The movie was also well received by three out of the four. Dole made some really good points in defense of the book and movie. He stated that a film can often be the result of someone’s passion and should not be simply disregarded with a negative platitude. Wilk thought that the movie sucked.
So, next time you are strapping into a dandelion-wine, powered rocket aimed at mars, make sure you cover your body in talcum powder, because there is no deodorant in outer space!*
