SHOW NOTES:

In this episode Ryan Sean O’Reilly announced his acceptance to the 2015 class of the Viable Paradise Writer’s Workshop:

The workshop is intimate, intense, and features extensive time spent with best-selling and award-winning authors and professional editors currently working in the field. VP concentrates on the art of writing fiction people want to read, and this concentration is reflected in post-workshop professional sales by our alumni.”  (from Viable Paradise website)

Also in the episode guest contributor and indie filmmaker, Mike O’Reilly discussed finishing his movie “Blink of an Eye” and sending it off to some festivals for review. Check out his YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/user/TheMoreilly318.

FUN FACTOIDS:

On the Show Ryan mentioned an in depth interview with True Detective creator and writer Nic Pizzolatto. This interview was from the “2014 Banff World Media Festival” – check it out here on YouTube:

Spoiler Alert: No, the Necronomicon is not real. The infamous Book of the Dead is actually a fictional tome invented by H.P. Lovecraft: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Necronomicon. However, it’s also a source of wonderfully campy horror in the “Evil Dead” trilogy of movies by director, Sam Raimi.
